We are an internationally active EPC company specializing in the planning and construction of large-scale photovoltaic plants and battery storage systems (BESS). Our goal is to actively shape the energy transition through innovative energy solutions. To strengthen our team in Vienna, we are looking for a dedicated Technical Key Specialist (m/f/d) with sound experience in the planning of PV systems and battery storage systems.

Your Responsibilities:

Technical Planning & Design:

  • Design, and optimization of large-scale photovoltaic plants and battery storage systems, including grid connection concepts and system integration.
  • Design and integration of BESS, incl. SCADA/EMS, both as standalone systems and in conjunction with PV plants (collocated BESS).

Technical Consulting:

  • Supporting our customers in the optimal design of PV and BESS projects, considering various applications (e.g., frequency regulation, peak shaving).

Supplier & Partner Management:

  • Supporting our international purchasing team in identifying, evaluating, and managing subcontractors and suppliers, with a special focus on BESS components.

Technical Innovation:

  • Monitoring current developments in the field of renewable energies and integrating new technologies into our projects, especially in the field of battery storage technologies.

Interface with Internal and External Partners:

  • Close collaboration with internal teams, customers, grid operators, and authorities to ensure the technical quality and feasibility of projects, including compliance with grid connection requirements for BESS.

Your Profile:

Education: Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a comparable field of study.

Experience: At least three years of experience in the technical planning of large-scale PV plants and battery storage systems, including experience with the integration of BESS with SCADA/EMS systems.

Knowledge:

  • Experience in the planning and design of large-scale PV systems
  • Sound understanding of the functionality and integration of all components of a complete battery energy storage systems (BESS).
  • Experience in the planning and design of both “standalone” and “collocated BESS” (in conjunction with PV).
  • Knowledge of the relevant standards and guidelines for large-scale PV and BESS.

Software Skills: Experience with PVCASE, Autodesk, PVSyst, and other relevant planning tools, as well as experience with SCADA/EMS systems.

Language Skills: Very good communication skills in German and English (minimum C1 level).

Personality: Strong communication skills, solution-oriented, and willing to take responsibility.

Communication Skills: Willingness to communicate proactively with customers, suppliers, and partners.
